Install PyPRP

Prerequisites

The current plug-in is compatible only with Blender version 2.45. Below are the lists of applications to install prior to installing the PyPRP plugin, based on the version of Blender you wish to use.

Blender v2.45 (and Python v2.5)

• PyYAML for Python 2.5

• Psyco 1.5.2 for Python 2.5 (Windows only) - this utility is strongly recommended in order to speed up import/export times

Installing the plugin

First download a snapshot of PyPRP (or simply grab the lastest snapshot). Now find Blender's "scripts" folder. For Windows 9x users, it should be found in C:\Program Files\Blender Foundation\Blender\.blender\scripts while In Windows NT and XP, it may be found in C:\Documents and Settings\Your User\Application Data\Blender Foundation\.blender\scripts. Once you have found the "scripts" folder, unzip the PyPRP snapshot (that you downloaded earlier) into the scripts folder. Start blender, view the User Preferences window. Click the File Paths button, beside the Python box, one of the buttons says 'Re-evaluate scripts registration in menus': Click it. This will cause the PyPRP options to appear in File->Import and File->Export. You are now ready to create your own Ages!
